Mission Statement:
I have always been a maker. I love creating just about anything. My mom taught me how to sew at a young age and my dad was wildly artistic and creative. My dad was a musician and artist. He loved to make handmade gifts for special occasions. Both parents instilled the idea that creating and giving a gift from your hands and heart was magical. I continue that tradition to this day.
My first job was in a fabric store. Selling fabric and making clothes and accessories. As I got older I chose to get a degree in Interior Design. With my degree in hand I worked as a Kitchen and Bath Designer for 12 years. Still making handmade gifts, I added quilting to my sewing repertoire in 1999. When my husband and I started our family I decided I’d love to work closer to home (at home!). Quilting was the answer and I started my longarm quilting business in 2006.
The new adventure and challenge is my new sewing studio and boutique: Sew Let’s Be Quilty. This is a studio where we will teach and foster a community of makers, quilter’s and sewists. I want my studio to be a place to learn and be the meeting place to sew and have a great time doing it.
